Poetree

POETREE is an interactive system that allows plants to express their internal states through printed poetry.
Each plant generates a physical diary entry that reflects its current condition, personality, and emotional state.

Concept 

Plants constantly sense and respond to their environment, yet their experiences remain largely invisible to us.
POETREE explores a different approach to human–plant interaction: instead of dashboards or charts, it uses AI as an interpretive layer, transforming raw sensor data into poetic language that humans intuitively understand.

System Architecture

Each POETREE unit consists of:
  • A live plant
  • A soil moisture sensor
  • An ESP32 microcontroller
  • A thermal printer
  • A plant-specific AI prompt defining personality and voice

Personality: Resilient, composed, quietly defiant

Personality: Bold, adventurous, playful, slightly chaotic

Emotional Mapping: Reacts dramatically to extremes, and embraces excess with humor
