Moomoo

During my internship at Moomoo’s User Experience Design Center, I contributed to Moomoo NX, a desktop trading platform within Moomoo’s ecosystem of 28M+ investors. My work spanned interface and icon design, reusable components, and data-visualization standards, helping translate dense real-time data and regulatory requirements into a scalable design system.

New Design for Desktop

New Design for Desktop

When I joined Moomoo as a UI/UX design intern, the team was developing Moomoo NX (Next Generation), a complete redesign of its existing trading platform. The goal was to create a fresh visual identity and rethink how traders navigate complex market data through clearer visualization and more intuitive workflows.

Highlights I designed for Moomoo NX

Design for Large Screen

Design for Large Screen

Different from mobile app, one of the most engaging parts of my internship was defining how the UI scales and adapts to custom window sizes on large screens.

Icon Design

Icon Design

To bring a fresh look to Moomoo NX’s navigation, I also explored a range of icon styles alongside the interface design, refining their visual treatment to improve clarity and cohesion.

Quick Access

Reduce operation steps in a driving context (one-tap to play)

Consistency

Follow familiar video platform patterns while optimized for audio

Safety

Prioritize large, glanceable cards with minimal cognitive load

Swipe & Browse

Horizontal/vertical sliding for browsing channels

Category Card

Highlights three key items from each collection

Uses poster color schemes to support quick visual recognition

Design for a Specialized Domain

Design for a Specialized Domain

As product designer, especially in the area of stock trading software that requires deep expertise, I initially knew very little about stock and options trading.

However, when designing market analysis and trading orders, I was faced with the problem of information presentation trade-off.

For example, when the screen size is at its minimum and cannot accommodate all the main information, what information should be presented first?

Readability

Ensuring readability and safety during the driving process

Design the channel navigation flow to align with in-car system operation habits

Navigation

Transition

Building on the existing video content ecosystem and guiding users through a natural transition
